B-EST IFF Awards 2009

Sunday, 29th March, within the closing gala of the 5th edition of B-EST IFF, presided by the Director of the Festival, Dana Dimitriu Chelba and film critic, Irina Margareta Nistor, the Festival awarded the following:

3 Lifelong Achievement Awards to actors Gheorghe Dinica, Adela Marculescu and Radu Beligan.

Short Film:
LUNGUL DRUM SPRE CASA (d. Anamaria Chioveanu) won Best Student Short, 
while EL ATAQUE DE LOS ROBOTS DE NEBULOSA-5 (d. Ghema Garcia Ibarra) was deemed Best Short.

Documentary 
Special mention for SUPERMEN OF MALEGAON (d. Faiza Ahmad Khan), while 
the Best Documentary was THEY CAME TO PLAY (d. Alexandru Rotaru).

Feature Film:
Audience Award – ABSURDISTAN (d. Veit Helmer)

Special Mention- KENISHI MORIMOTO for his part in MONSIEUR MORIMOTO (d. Nicola Sornaga)

Best Cinematography – GIORGI BERIDZE (for Absurdistan)
