The 6th edition of BucharEST IFF will take place between the 20th. and the 25th. of April 2010.
There are two competitive sections:
1. feature film competition
2. fiction short film competition
Other sections, not included in the competition:
- „Cinema Lesson” – workshop held by our special guests, on their work (the themes are chosen by the guests themselves)
- Special Events – Opening and Awards Gala, discussions (Q&A), master-classes, special evenings, press conferences, interviews.
General conditions / feature film section
1. only films produced after the 1th. of January 2009 may enter the official competitions
2. the screenings of the selected films will be made on 35mm
General conditions / short films
Only films that meet the following requirements will be admitted for pre-selection:
- the film must be produced after the 1st of January 2009;
- the film must not exceed 20 minutes in length;
- the film must be subtitled in English;
- the screening will be made on: BETA (SP, SX, Digital), DVCAM, DVD;
Conditions for applying:
Features and shorts - the VHS / DVD together with the entry form, a short synopsys of the film, the director's photo and the dialogue list will be sent on the Festival address.
The VHS / DVD must be sent mentioning "For cultural purpose only. No commercial value".
The VHS tape/ DVD and the additional materials will not be returned.
Film shipping
The print / BETA / DVD should reach the Festival on the 1st. of March 2010 AT THE LATEST.
The charge for shipping of the print or BETA will be supported by the submitter.
The print or BETA will be sent together with a „proforma invoice” by regular mail or by courier, with the following mentions:
"No commercial value. For cultural purpose only"
The value written on the invoice must not exceed 10 Euros
The films sent by AIR CARGO will not be accepted due to custom procedure difficulties.
